I still adore their Sonic Youth cover. Thanks for posting the newer material.

Suddenly teary eyed. One of my favorite songs of that era, and what a new depth of meaning with older singers! Thanks, hippybear.

My god. I feel like I've never actually heard this song before. Eddie should never sing it again until he's lived as long as these guys.

Celsius1414 I was just coming in to say the same thing. It has a completely different feel when sung but older folks. its even sadder, a song of loss and abandonment.

and as usual tip my hat to my fellow 10 clubber Hippybear (RRHOF this year though..WOOHOO)

That was pretty amazing, but it makes me want a Johnny Cash version. Two things stuck out for me: the range of Vedder's voice is pretty amazing in comparison to how limited (yet beautiful) the singers' voices have become by age, and the second, I was sort of surprised by the lyrics, having never heard some of them clearly enunciated before. I'd thought some of them were completely different.
