I'm more Jungian than Freudian

Oh man. My weekend gig is running lights for one of the network shows that anchors the football games all day and night. We can punch up any camera and just watch it for as long as we like, and on occasion we do this with the sideline cameras. Thus is going to make the 5 people I send it to very happy.

It's weird how obviously one dimensional and predictable this joke is and yet somehow it never stops making me laugh.

I wonder if there's ever any official reaction to these videos from the people being badly lip-read. I want to believe that some of these lines become catch-phrases so that somewhere there is now an NFL player actually going around wishing his teammates a Happy Sidewalk Day.

I didn't watch any of the games that were played in London. Did they really attach titles like "Sir" and "Lord" to all the players' names during the roll-call?

I forgot this channel existed years ago.

And their Inauguration vid is how we all ought to have watched it.

tdsimukes, a couple of days after the first of these went viral, the news spread that an Adrian Peterson fan gave him a papier-mâché orange peanut to sign, and that Peterson understood the reference. So some of the players are watching these and enjoying them.

"I used to go home and just throw gravel at my grandparents in bed."

It's so easy to picture Mike McCarthy doing that.

I came here for the best of the web but apparently "'"Why Adrian Peterson autographing an orange peanut is the best thing ever' is not optimized for mobile web.'" A travesty!

A real orange peanut? For me? Wow!

"Look at my golden hair!" is almost exactly what I say about Clay Matthews every week.

This one's really good but nothing will ever ever top "i encompass and I eclipse" and "floor bags" and "orange peanut" and whiny Harbaugh whining about cake and "floor bags" because "floor bags"

It's nice to see all their Tom Brady ones are still mostly people ignoring him tho

"I want cake now!" is still very much a catchphrase at our house.

I do appreciate how they're consistent with which v/o actors cover which athletes/coaches.

The joke might be one-dimensional and predictable as 256 says, but I think they're getting better at these. The players seem like they're expressing coherent (if silly) thoughts now, not just stringing random words together like they did in previous installments.

Like the first few seconds of this video from 2013: "Stingray a double-sided Scooby snack. Yeah we pick a hotel."

I mean I like absurdist humour too but I think the 2017 edition shows more effort.

Yeah, I'm very impressed by how well this one is done. The extended conversations are the best, I think.
