I'm Danish, and this is the first I've ever heard of this. I guess it can't compete with garden tractor pulling (the mad 'sport' of choice round where I'm from, seemingly).

I wish this was a bigger thing! The rabbits seem to enjoy it and it's great exercise for them. As far as pet sports go, it's pretty great.
There's also some great organizations popping up in the US too... check out Rabbit Hopping US and AHARC (which is chartered by the American Rabbit Breeders Association).

(A "kaninhop" in Swedish would be more like this. For the sport, see kaninhoppning, or for more nordic variants kaninhopping and kanihyppyä.)

My favorite rabbit competitor is Kokomo, who has a very sensible way of getting through obstacles.
