Well, he probably wasn't expecting much, then.

Everyone involved in this should be sacked.

It does make you pay attention to the visuals in the X-Files intro in a way you may not have before. What's the deal with the hand with the one warm finger joint?

yeah, the opposite would make much more sense

What's the deal with the hand with the one warm finger joint?

I think it is supposed to be stylized Kirlian photography.

Also, beansprouts: they're not paranormal activity, usually.

You'd best be cautious when asking questions like this in such a public forum. You never know who is watching... and what they will do. Just asking the question opens a door to danger, and now you have doomed everyone who has read this thread. Thanks a lot!

also I'll fight all of you I swear to god

You only say that because of that one finger joint you have.

I've said too much

Now seems a good time to ask: are they chickpeas? I've been wondering about that for years.

Oh wow. Never realized that Fringe ripped off the hand in the credits pretty directly.

The hand is clearly from Tooms

That was great! I think part of why I liked it so much was that I heard the X-Files music underneath at the same time.

The X-Files was so cheesy -- and I love cheese!

Oh! A goofy soundtrack placed on a goofy show? Makes sense to me!

OK, now mash up Buffy and Twin Peaks... and toss in the stinger from Seinfeld, please.

This is simply step one in a long term agency plan to disclose the truth about Betty White.

Mulder: When I was in the academy the other new FBI agents made up a really mean nickname for me just because I was obsessed with aliens.
Scully: What did they call you?
Mulder: Mulder with the aliens.
Scully: Kids can be so cruel.

disclose the truth about Betty White

Via clandestine, late-night meetings in parking garages with a strangely-familiar older women in extremely large sunglasses?

I love this, and I agree about doing the X-Files song over the Golden Girls intro.

You wanted the Golden Girls intro with X Files music?

#spoiler everyone looks possessed and Scilly looks older than I remember...

Ok, this does lend itself well to a sitcom.... a retirement community for over-the-hill investigators of the paranormal.... Van Helsing Oaks, or something like that. You have your ex-FBI agent, an old lady who was once 'the Chosen One', a cantankerous old hippy who once roamed the country solving mysteries with his friends and his dog....

If you steal this idea, just make sure to give me credit and proper attribution.

I have an ex-girlfriend that would agree with you.

Also, is this something I would actually have to be able to load to appreciate?

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T LOAD YOUR ONE FINGER JOINT!

THERE IS NO APPRECIATION THAT WILL COME OF DOING THAT.

The x files theme song is very similar to the downtown abbey one and it drives me nuts.

This is just what they used as a temp track before they made the X-Files theme music.

The Golden Girls was great, but I always preferred the monster-of-the-week episodes to the ones dedicated to the mythology arc.

It's just occurring to me how much more excellent the old-guy time-travel ice-murder episode would be if the aforementioned old guy's ice murder antics were intercut with ice-cold quips from Bea Arthur.
