It does make you pay attention to the visuals in the X-Files intro in a way you may not have before. What's the deal with the hand with the one warm finger joint?

That was great! I think part of why I liked it so much was that I heard the X-Files music underneath at the same time.

Ok, this does lend itself well to a sitcom.... a retirement community for over-the-hill investigators of the paranormal.... Van Helsing Oaks, or something like that. You have your ex-FBI agent, an old lady who was once 'the Chosen One', a cantankerous old hippy who once roamed the country solving mysteries with his friends and his dog....

The Golden Girls was great, but I always preferred the monster-of-the-week episodes to the ones dedicated to the mythology arc.
