Get Ur Teletubbies On

I like to imagine the creators defending the hours of Teletubbie-watching they put in to make this as "just research." Then, as their interlocutor continues to stare silently at them, the creators' excuses get more elaborate and strained until they break down sobbing and beg for help.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé the Tank Engine trundles into town...

I don't know if YouTube offers you guys the same videos that I get in the sidebar--but in case it does: whatever you do, don't click "Lynda Carter's Rock And Roll Fantasy 1980". You have been warned.

Well it will be a break from my son's endless viewings of the Boohbahs dancing to Lady Gaga's Just Dance.

Counterpoint: DO IT IMMEDIATELY! (I want to tell you all the reasons while you should but I don't want to spoil anyone's enjoyment or "enjoyment" whatever the case may be.)

As for the original video in the post, I didn't know how much I needed the Teletubbies performing Missy Elliot in my life until I had it. This is going in my "humanity is actually very, very good despite much evidence to the contrary" file to pick me up on a rainy day.

Re: Get Ur Freak On:
It's nicely edited and pleasantly weird, but nowhere near as gloriously bizarre as an actual Missy Elliott video.

this whole shitck got me thinking a FPP on these last night when a city councilwoman posted the Sesame Street performing Crossroads by Bone Thugs and the same author, hiddentracktv, also made ones with
beastie boys, biz markie, and ODB as well as Lauryn Hill feat. Miss Piggy, outkast feat. the muppets and many more.

I saw the Missy Elliot clip earlier today. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

I clicked on the Die Antewoord video, thinking it might finally redeem them in my eyes. It did not. However, I did get me to listen to more of one of their songs than Die Antewoord ever did on their own.

fizzix, I think at least one has been posted previously but you should make that post with the rest!

This Teletubbies video made my snow day, but ^^^ this. Give me a Missy video over a Björk one any day, all day long.

This was very much my take, too, after watching it. It just makes me really happy for some reason. Maybe it's because this is the most exposure I've ever had to the Teletubbies.

(That Beyoncé take, on the other hand, was... disconcerting, howfar.)

Fact that baffled and terrified me: the Teletubbies are between 6'7" and 7'11". I had sort of assumed they were child-sized and played by smaller people. But nope, they're full-sized adults inside of costumes that make them even larger.
