I'm quite disappointed that "cross-eyed" isn't available.

If you click on enough of them, I expect you'll get to one which will crawl out of your screen and do terrible terrible things. Probably to your eyes.

This is doing more than deep warp, though, isn’t it? The pictures have been re-rendered as 3D textures and are themselves being tilted around.

I want this done with dogs.

For maximum creepiness, click with the mouse to the side/corner then move the mouse until the face is staring right at you.

I love that their heads move a little bit too when you drag your finger around on the iPhone screen.

Not the same, really, practically proverbially so.

That whole website is a pretty cool tour through the uncanny valley.

The new version of Snapseed can do something not quite exactly like this to all your photos. It's creepy as hell.

Some of the faces, when the image loads, don't load everything in order. Whether the face loads with black pits for eyes, or the eyes load and the face loads around it, both are cheshire creepy.

In some of the eye animations I get the impression that a bit of texture that was meant to be mapped from eyelid was mapped to eye material instead, leading to weird stretching and blurring of the eyeball and/or iris near the top or bottom edge.

I had to close the tab after one too many pages loaded the mask of the face a second or so before the eyes. There is apparently a limit on the number of eyeless faces I can view in short order.

You want dogs re-rendered by computers so their eyes follow you around the room? Dogs will watch you walk around the room anyway, why get computers involved?

I don't think so. Looks like the pictures are being gently rotated on the x or y axis as a flat plane to match the eye movement. A very clever cheat but if you look at the examples with textures the background you can see it. Here is a detailed explanation of the eye morphing and relighting algorithm. Tnx for posting!

It's not the 3D rendered mouse-tracking fun like in the original link, but those of you wanting dogs or eye-crossing might be interested in the Deep Warp demo page linked in the link. With the right picture you could totally do dogs crossing their eyes.

If my posting frequency and weirdness both go up in the next little while we can safely append an implicit "via somebody over on mastodon probably" to 'em all.
