Aw, nuts! I have about zero bookshelf space left as it is, and these posters are so wonderful I just don't care.

These are great, and I will use this as an excuse to link to Jay Ryan’s “Now Is Our Time To Read” poster. (It is a little political? But mostly it is about reading.)

For a richer, fuller life wake up and read

That's my favourite. Read because it goes off the page through your eyes and into your brain and does a loop right into your heart.1961 too.

Skimmed down the list quickly to make sure the awesome David Bowie book poster was there. Now to look at the rest of them at a more leisurely pace.

the now-defunct New York is Book Country festival,

Well, that both takes me back and depresses me. I still have one of those posters.

Most of these are pretty cool, but the guy in this one looks like he's being forced to read that book at gunpoint.

Keith Haring's poster made me almost tear up, out of nowhere. I think it was a half-glimpse of bodhi.

Aw man, and they missed out Rodchenko's “КНИГИ” poster. It is the best poster.

So posters from 1990 are "vintage" now?

*weeps bitter tears*

Otherwise, great post!

These are WONDERFUL. Great artists, great designs. No real substitute for a good book.

I have a relative who scares me because I've never ever seen a book in her home, which feels ominous and unnatural. She has kids, too.

There needs to be an ostentatious way to display ebooks.
