Totally missing the Peter Gabriel song cue. "Solsbury Hill", or "In Your Eyes", perhaps.

Already used Solsbury Hill in this recut of The Shining as a family comedy.

Would you date me? I'd date me.

Following the grand tradition of romcoms where the male star is much older than the female.

anthony hopkins' lecter is one creepy lover. so i guess this looks a bit like the version of 50 shades i'd actually watch. perversely fun.

Ok I usually love these but this one doesn't quite work thanks to Hopkins. He's just so sinister and creepy as Lecter that it still comes across that way even when they swap the music.

I'd love to see this updated with the more recent Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy Hannibal tv series.

'Murder Husbands' for the win!

I'd love to see this updated with the more recent Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy Hannibal tv series.

If done, it would hold the record as the SLYT most viewed by MeFi members.

I mean, characters in romantic comedies are usually creepy, it's just not so overt.

The Mrs Doubtfire one is just more accurate.

I'm guessing the video creator didn't read the sequels? Or maybe did?

And that led Youtube (taking note of my penchant for musicals) to recommend Disney Princesses sing "The Cell Block Tango." Lipschutz!

Has anyone done one of these for Love Actually as a horror thriller?
It already does most of the work for you:
  • the 'nice guy' who becomes obsessed with the wife of his best friend and stalks her, eventually showing up on her doorstep to declare his love for her
  • the writer who becomes obsessed with his housekeeper and stalks her, eventually showing up at her workplace to claim her
  • the child who becomes obsessed with his classmate and stalks her, eventually trailing her to the airport to declare his love for her
  • the politician who becomes obsessed with a staff member and stalks her, eventually showing up on her doorstep to claim her
  • and of course, Mr. Bean

Anytime I tried to see it as a romance Hannibal Lecter showed up. But in the movie there was definitely a lot of tension between Agent Starlng and Lecter. Maybe it was realer than I thought.

Well, there's a lover I am never going to taunt with "Bite me" or "Eat me".

The little sting at the end with Dr. Pilcher and Roden in the National Museum of Natural History: perfect.
