Is Taking Psychedelics an Act of Sedition?

From Bill Hick's Rant in E Minor:
And I'm glad [hallucinogens] are against the law. Because you know what happened when I took 'em? I laid in a field of green grass for hours, going "My god, I love everything". The heavens parted, God looked down and rained Gifts of Forgiveness onto my being, healing me on every level- psychically, physically, emotionally- and I realized our true nature is spirit, not body, that we are eternal beings and God's love is unconditional and there is nothing we can ever do to change that. It is only our illusion that we are separate from god, or that we are alone. In fact, the reality is that we are one with God and he loves us.

Now, if that isn't a hazard to this country... you can see why the government's cracking down on the idea of experiencing unconditional love.

Isn't it interesting that those two drugs that are legal, alcohol and cigarettes, two drugs that do absolutely nothing for you whatsoever. And drugs that grow naturally on this planet, drugs that open your eyes up to make you realize how you're being fucked every day of your life- those drugs are against the law! Coincidence? I don't know... I'm sure they're motives are pure.

Psychedelic drugs are soooo 1967. Let's get with the times, people.

There's one significant downside to resolving social problems with psychedelics: sooner or later, you gotta crash.

But just like in an airplane, if you crash in just the right way, it is called a landing.

and like in donnie darko the crash might've happened in the future-past. so even when you do/have crash(ed) you never know (exactly!) so you're good to go :)

"Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed- interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing sprit- crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing you last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that?"

"People think it's all about misery and desperation and death and all that shite, which is not to be ignored, but what they forget is the pleasure of it. Otherwise we wouldn't do it. After all, we're not fucking stupid."

granted, it's about 'junk' and not shrooms, but still...

And this is why you shouldn't take psychedelics. Because they'll make you believe shit like that.

interventions dictate the use of waterguns with liquid acid. you're hardly going to get someone who's opposed to the idea to eat a piece of paper.

donkeymoon, if you were a girl, I'd kiss you. And I'd brush my teeth first, too!
