Amazing to see in person and on the race track. Been fortunate enough to them in both settings.

I love the Holzer car. The 80s-style streaking in the racetrack photos imply that nobody at BMW wanted to be caught racing a car adorned with callouts of pointless displays of machismo. (Yes, it was driven -- once in a pre-quals heat -- but that also seems like the minimum effort necessary to fulfill an obligation to claim it had been in a race.)

It may not have been particularly fast, but Karel Appel painted a Mercedes.
