Charming. That Dad Bird walking with his chick hits my soft spots. I think I'll try to regurgitate some fish for my spawn this weekend.

If you get interested in the birds of North America, one of the many useful things Cornell provides is ebird, a citizen supported depository of bird sighting data. Want to know what birds occur in your area? Make a customized bar chart for your county or state with links to maps showing where the sightings were. From the maps, you can figure out what places are birding hot spots. Who cares about flying cars? We live in the future!

These are so adorable! I watched their live stream on YouTube of a barred owl nest. All three eggs hatched and survived to leave the nest box!
