There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship

August 6th was Friendship Day in the US, and the Pet Collective observed it with a compilation of pet friendships. In that spirit, enjoy these other videos showing animal BFFs and unlikely animal friendships—but steer clear of toxic relationships [all videos mostly ambient noise with occasional loud music].

I was really impressed with the folks who had decorated their pig play room in pastels and happy spaces, you know, wow sure maybe they're fostering an unnatural dependency like all of us people who adopt animals, but hey that looks lije a damn fine setup that piggy has, and then I saw the toddler.

I think those border collies were not friends with the persistent sheep. The sheep came up to play and every time they were like, "Not her again. Ugh." and walked away like too-cool-for-school junior high students.

On the other hand, I loved watching the big dog playing with a peccary(?) I mean the smallish animal that looked like a cross between a pig and a chipmunk. Whatever you call them. Also, I want one.

I am crying at the toxic relationships. Crying. That first slomo with the cat completely flipping out at the dog started it and I can't stop.
