Man makes a big ol' cat maze out of cardboard boxes. It's cats playing in a cat maze of boxes. Need I say more?

The minute I read the cats' names I knew I had watched some of this guy's vids.

(Also, I could do this. But then, after all that work, my KittyP might interact with it about as much as she does with the modular store-bought condo, which is, Not. A. Lot.)

That is awesome; thanks! I love Cole and Marmalade jumping in and out of all the boxes and only occasionally taking the 'doors' between the boxes. This is everything a self-respecting cat could want, with obligatory treats included.

These cats know how to think outside the box.

Excellent work! Thanks for the post!

It's a good start, but it feels like a lost opportunity to build a giant cat pyramid.
The cats are looking at the camera like "when are you going to add the next layer?, is that all you got?"

They keep jumping over the walls! That's not how a maze works, cats!

I love how the black kitty "helped" with the construction.

Black Kitty is a better name than Cole, which sounds like cabbage to me. Marmalade is a really good name though.

Cute but Maru will always be the King of Boxes.

Not 50 boxes, but I've made a box fort for my cat that I'm very proud of. Amazon: cat fort component with every purchase.

This woman built a cardboard palace for her cat... right now I am inspired by all this creativity and I'm hoarding all the cardboard boxes in my house to create something magical for my fuzzy kitties too!

My one cat would just put her head down and bulldoze right through the boxes. She literally knocked a slat out of the fence between our house and the neighbor's with her head. Pig-headed little fluffalo.

It's all fun and games until Jack Torrance shows up with an axe.

I used to build cardboard boxes mazes when I was younger for, you know, Samis. One of them even had a time tunnel (with painted interior) and a window that looked out unto part of a cardboard castle.

I'm assuming he picked Cole as in coal, since the orange cat is named Marmalade.

I also liked his video on catnip, which explained a lot for me (such as why the cat I used to catsit wasn't into it).

Well, thank you for reminding me of the REAL reason I read Metafilter. For amusing cat anecdotes.

I don't know how these people got their cats in these cardboard boxes, but- wait, yes I do, never mind.

Yeah, no. Cats are a fundamentally inexplicable aspect of the Universe. You might think you know them, but you don't.

My cat doesn't care about boxes at all, but Cole and Marmalade once got a packing paper maze that would be my cat's idea of heaven.

This is great!

(It's also a good example of why you prototype, validate and iterate in product design — a clip of the cats jumping over all of the boxes is so going in my next research presentation.)

"Fluffalo" is my new favorite word, and perfectly describes so many of the bull-headed felines I've known over the years.

Those felines are totally not following the rules by jumping over the walls. They are a bunch of cheetas.
