I like spiders more than I like military stuff, but I have to say, the military stuff sure keeps a beat better.

So, as someone who has forgone marching as a thing to do, is the north Korean march really as inefficient and painful as it looks?

I'm not sure what you mean, if there is anything the North Koreans are good at it is marching and public spectacles. The goose stepping looks painful though.
