I'm very disappointed that this isn't Eurythmics - related. And not particularly surprised that they all read like Daily Mail headlines.

Neither entry on bananas says what the standards actually say about banana curvature.

Google eu banana standards if you really want to know. Basically bananas shouldn't be really fucked up.

I also came here to say I thought it was going to be about the Eurythmics. Reading fail on my part.

(In my defense, I broke my glasses earlier today and I'm wearing a very old pair.)

In case you US readers are a bit puzzled, it's by now tradition in much of Europe to blame "Brussels bureaucrats" for every bit of new legislation or standardization or whatever that does not immediately make perfectly good sense to you. Especially the UK tabloid press have been happy to feed into this, as it's an easy way to generate headlines.
