8 European kids living with disabilities experience zero gravity. The experience was made possible by the European Space Agency, and Novespace, a subsidiary of French CNES. The kids rode a converted Airbus A310 which flew in repeated parabolic arcs to simulate the effects of zero-gravity without having to visit space.

To be fair, the leaky eyes are seemingly part of the joy of the experience, here's Simone Giertz of Shitty Robots fame doing it [lots of vigorous cussing].

I received some alarming news about my sister who may have something serious going on with her health. This made my day better. Thank you.

To not be weighed down by your body, the one thing that should be yours to trust but which betrayed you somehow, for just a few moments? I might trade off years of my life to experience that, and I only have a hip and hand going bad. I have often wondered if free-fall would help those of us with degenerative joint conditions, allowing things to heal without constant stress on them. Those smiles made my day. Thank you.

That red hair! So long! So flowy! Way not a fan of this music, way a fan of this backflipping zero gravity hijinx.

Big crying here.

Almost exactly one year ago I got a new hip after lifelong deforrmity and pain, and every single day I feel just like these kids.
