Good. Let them destroy their own sofas.

I'm going to buy one just so I can shriek HOW DO YOU LIKE IT WHEN I SCRATCH ON YOUR COUCH, EH?

Now they need a miniature toilet for a water bowl...

The latest Tiny Kittens livestream has a pretty cool couch in their living space.

One of the best things about MeFi is the amount of bottled-up rage that people who presumably love cats have about the behavior of the particular cats to whom they belong.

Here is some miniature furniture for your cat to sit on treat with barely disguised loathing as you feel like a damn fool for buying it.

I want vids of cats sitting in the boxes in which the furniture shipped.

As cute as they look close-up in the photos I can’t help but think they’d just look tacky in a typical person’s home. Unless you *also* have a tiny room to put the tiny furniture in, like a stairwell closet.

Shit, that's nicer than my furniture.

If you can't afford the high-end Japanese stuff, there's always IKEA! And I'm sure it comes with easy-to-assemble instructions!

I was under the impression that all furniture is for cats to sit on.

I want to know how much catnip they need to lace the stuff with to get the cats to sit on it instead of wherever the hell their fancy takes them, like your keyboard or your throat or the bookshelf they recently helpfully cleaned off for you.

Cause I could just put that much catnip in a box from the liquor store.

I'm with sandiette light vessel automatic...this looks like a really expensive way to get a cardboard box delivered.

We spoiled ours and gave them this - cat scale AND reminiscent of high end furniture.

Speaking of Ikea, I wanted to get our cats this child-size Poäng chair to match our full-sized one (which the cats already use more than we do), but my partner said that would be "too crazy." I still resent that.

Cats certainly hold to this belief.

I was under the impression that all furniture is for cats to sit on destroy.

I had something similar to that. It looked kind of like a cat recambier. Unfortunately my boy cat munched on it more than used it for scratching.

Cat furniture?

Throw a sheet of paper on the floor.

Want to spoil cat?

An empty box that is only slightly larger than cat.

Release the attack panthers, get them to sit on things.

Cat walks in room, sniffs cat sized fancy white couch in disdain, hops up on fancy adult sized couch, licks butt for half an hour then horks hairball on fancy white couch.

My older boy cat used to sleep in a small cardboard box (think double-wide shoebox) on the foot of my bed. Not at the foot of the bed, but on the bed. Because it was his bed in a box on my bed, I called it the Bedboxbed.

But then kid brother cat started getting in with him, and the whole deal was off. Big brother cat won't sleep in it with kid brother cat, and KBC won't sleep in it without BBC. I tried twin bedboxbeds, but KBC invariably crawled in with BBC and drove him out (sometimes with The Vampire Bath, but mostly just brother cooties) Bunkbedboxbeds might work, but they'd probably find a way to fight over those, too.

My dog would actually sleep on dog-furniture but I guess that exists already.

Can't. Internet's full.

Here's the truth. Those are actually regular sized couches and beds, and those are REALLY LARGE CATS.

Is this more or less expensive than American Girl furniture?

{...] there's always IKEA!

"Cat house on legs" sounds like Raymond Chandler has had a few too many and will have to edit that line in the morning. "Moon Face stepped out of the casino, staggered half a block, and came face to face with a cat house on legs who went by the name of Lurvig. What went on behind Lurvig's sliding door, it turned out, could be had for $49.95. Moon Face peeled a fifty off his wad of winnings and tipped Lurvig the nickel."

I'm thinking this cat furniture must be heated, but they have cleverly hidden the cords?

Plug-in heaters are the One Weird Trick for getting cats to sleep in the spot you designated, rather than wherever their own perversity sends them.

Currently our bugger cat has decided the bedroom laundry hamper is her new hidey-place. Hijinx ensued when I forgot this and casually tossed clothes in there this morning.

Tsk. "Bigger" cat.

Though all cats are buggers.

Ah. All this time I've been foolishly providing my own body as a heat source! Millionaire takes full advantage, seen here in the summertime when she needs only a pillow.
