An obituary for a very good boy, Francis "Frank" Albert Crosbie, by poet, author and bereaved Lynn Crosbie.

"I will find you, I told my dying dog. And for the first time, went home without him, and slept where I sleep, curved around the negative space he has left behind, the echoes and devastating silence yet still,

There is life in the legend he left me and be good he tells me, as he, and all of his soft, fragrant beauty, escape me with every breath I take."

So now I'm at work and I'm crying for Lynn Crosbie's dog.

This was beautiful, thank you.

Very nice, very sad. Everybody should have a Frank in their life.

Welp. I certainly know what I can read now if I ever need a good cry.

This, my friends, is part of why I have multiple dogs -- because the bond one forms with an only dog is such a formidable thing that I don't really see how people survive this type of loss.

Lynn is a remarkable woman, and an incredibly talented and skilled poet.

Frankie -- although I never knew him except through her social media stories -- was a remarkable dog.

Good doggie.
