I've actually used this site. This is invaluable for determining the source of a leaky toilet. Now, the only thing I hear in the bathroom is the whirring of my iBook hard drive. I'm there right now!

What do I do if the hardware store has closed and my toilet is still up on blocks out in the yard?

Everything about toilets except the most important aspect: how to use one (not that I need to know, I am just contesting the "Everything" in the title). This is not as self-evident as it may seem -- Westerners going to Japan may be surprised at what they find (or don't).

Looking through the site -- nice post, by the way -- I was led onward to, yes, the Toilet [web] Ring. If 'everything you wanted to know' isn't at Toiletology 101, I'm sure you can find it somewhere around the ring. Including "When Good Toilets Go Bad."

Toilet Ring - not good imagery.
