This post is sadly incomplete without The Time Warp. (And you know Rocky Horror's lyricist used exactly this method)

The instructions are actually coded in the flute melody, which is why everybody in the supermarket starts whistling it as soon as it comes on.

I don't know if this fits here or not, but you're getting it any way. https://youtu.be/V18hFV_amVQ

When I lived in the UK in late 80's, this was everywhere. When I got back to the US, it was played in every after hour gay club coast to coast. My god, did I get sick of it!

We saw the B-52s some time in the 90s (edit: it was 8/12/89 at the Citi Club in Boston) and Fred added a 17th dance - the Picture Frame. My wife and I literally looked at each other and both said "THAT'S a new one!!"

The flute solo is the instructions.

If that isn't clear enough, I'm not sure what else I can do for you.

Coming to you from the city of Chicago:

Kemo Step to the Right! Kemo Step to the Left! Now why you mad?

Somewhere out there at a crowded nightclub, a someone sits alone, bewildered by the noise and the flashing lights. They're not a nightclub-person by nature; they're a biologist and their normal life is lived at a quiet, intent, small scale. Their passions are precise and perfect and wondrous, not this dull flailing of arms and legs and bodies around them. Then, as a new beat begins, across the room, a motion, a flash, unlike any other catches their eye, an electrifying signal of familiarity--- as the shy little lab tech they've never noticed before throws them a wink and a double wave, and begins the dance....

I have never seen them live and I regret that more all the time (though I suppose I may get another chance). A few days ago “Roam” came up on shuffle and I was suudenly struck by how I think of “Rock Lobster” and “Planet Claire” and, yes, “Dance This Mess Around” as classic-era songs while the big songs off Cosmic Thing (to wit, “Roam” and “Love Shack”) as recent even though the gap from old to new is about a decade and it has been 29 years since the newer songs were recorded.

I should just sit in my rocking chair and whittle.
