Two Manchester greats have teamed up to make a album about homelessness. The Guardian has its excellent first track (The Priest) and a background article that's well worth reading.

If Tilda Swinton is the new Bowie, maybe Maxine Peake can be the new Morrissey...

Maxine Peake is an absolute treasure. Considering the subject, how can there be no mention of Men Who Sleep In Cars?

Thanks for that link, uniliteral. I'd never seen the Men Who Sleep In Cars film before, but it's terrific. And you're right about Peake being a national treasure too.

Loved her in Silk but a real tug at the heartstrings was The Village, so evocative.
