"-This is a clip from the NRK TV-program "Bergensbanen Minutt for Minutt", that shows the train-ride through beautiful Norwegian landscape... The original footage is made and owned by NRK, and is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license."

oh.

So they're doing a live stream of old footage?

I am still thrilled but now also disappointed. Is there a german word for this?

Yes these are archived streams, not live ones.
The log fire streams are also not live ... ;)

Hey, come on. The Yule Log will never be passé. It’s evergreen. So to speak.

Misleading labeling on YouTube? How shockingly... normal.

I searched for "live streams right now" and the top results were "Fox News Live Stream Now" from an account called "Trump News Live" and "NASA Live - Earth From Space (HDVR) ♥ ISS LIVE FEED" from "SPACE & UNIVERSE (Official)" which is not directly NASA. Sigh.

Since both the NRK Bergensbanen (7 hours of lovely train journey, around 22GB) and Hurtigruten (nearly 7 full days of lovely boat journey, coming in at 256GB, you better believe it!) videos are publicly available under CC licenses, I highly recommend downloading them. They're available via your friendly, local, legal torrent tracker.

Who are those people in the tunnel? Are they out for a walk along the side of the tracks or are they escaping from a subterranean goblin kingdom? Like I didn’t have enough to worry about today!

Ha! We've been watching one of these from last year all morning. I love these. I'd like to have one in at all times. My family thinks I'm weird.

So great. The next time I can’t sleep, I’ll switch on one of these.

I wish there were a map overlay in the upper corner. It would be fun to learn some geography, too.

Here's the NRK link to the Bergensbanen video.

And some other Norwegian slow TV via my old post about a live broadcast reindeer migration.

Speaking of Norwegian Train Drivers, if you have never watched the movie O'Horten, well, you should watch O'Horten.

This is so good but after a while I have to switch to the Mexico city Taxi cab live stream just to level off my buzz.
