I greatly appreciate the article and learning more about Freelon after having seen his firm's work over the years, but want to correct an odd omission in the article. The NMAAHC was designed collaboratively by a group: his Freelon Group, Adjaye Associates and Davis Brody Bond), and David Adjaye is usually noted as lead designer, and Phil Freelon as the lead architect of record.

I knew he was a prominent local architect here in Durham but had no idea how many of his buildings I am in or around on a regular basis. Great article.
