Sort of like if Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush had a daughter with a 4 octave range.

Also, bonus track: Ashes To Ashes

I have to say that I've been enjoying your single-album posts.

I've been meaning to check out this artist ever since I stumbled across a very 90's-looking, very thorough (and still being updated!) internet music recommendation/review site that seems to be organized by fans of hers.

She was incredibly hyped on the KaTe Bush newsgroup, rec.music.gaffa (a/k/a the Love-Hounds mailing list). I never saw anything else about her outside of that online forum, although I was pretty plugged in to the music scene at the time. Her CDs were really expensive, which meant I never got to hear her ... and now it's easy -- thanks, hippybear!

Oh, I thought you meant moody, psychedelic dream pop band Warpaint.

This led me down the rabbit hole to find out what Happy Rhodes doing these days. Turns out she's fronting a Peter Gabriel Band, The Security Project, which also features Jerry Marotta (Gabriel's former drummer). It sounds pretty darn good, and it's nice to hear her keep singing.
