What about user 72253? I have loved this story for decades. Unfortunately it is now also one of the most misspelt band names in London.

The Lumber Room was always one of my favourites, and on re-reading it, it is still a joy. Apparently the aunt is a spit of Saki's Aunt Tom.

Been working through The Collected Short Stories verrrrrrry slowly, allowing myself a story a week. So, so good.

For what it's worth, I see the story as being about emotional abuse more than about puberty.

I have always liked Saki's stories, not sure which is my favorite: either "Torbermory" or "The Wolves of Cernogratz".
