Lately, I've been seeing lots of online ads for skunks (scent glands removed). Tommy's favorite toy is a soft fur skunk that he has to pick up and break his neck before he starts throwing it around, so I really have to wade around the ads.

They're all ethical dogs, Bront.

I don't think it's ethical to post that without including a picture of Tommy (preferably with his skunk). To avoid conflicts of interest, I'll trade you a picture of Peter with HIS skunk if I can get him to pose with it.

you know, it's occurred to me that saying "objectively x" isn't any different from saying "x". It's just table thumping.

My uncle used to have a chocolate lab with an enthusiastic and whiplike tail. When she was happy indoors, there was objectively a lot of table thumping going on.

As promised, here is Peter with his skunk.

" 'Neptune' has never in her life misused a city vehicle, and she literally eats toads."
This is a good dog. Also, an honest dog about her daily habits. Which dogs are.

I think we're more interested in seeing a picture of Peter with his medallion and up-to-date hack license.

Hazel <3 <3 <3

My first doggo was a most ethical Cocker Spaniel, who would wag his rear end giddily, seated at the very limit of the Doggo Safe Space Boundary of our driveway when I came home from school.

When I lived in Detroit my first wife and I had a huge chocolate Lab named Dante. After Dante Alighieri. Of course. Anyway we lived with my mother-in-law for a while. She had knee high cabinets with glass doors. Had. Dante's tail easily shattered the thin glass. Our shins, luckily, did not shatter.

presumably due to her knowledge of the gift restrictions, “lyla” has never accepted even a cent from new york lobbyists

But she seems to have a weakness for gifts of rawhide bones.

I'm sure Lyla would never accept a bone from New York lobbyists either!

When Tommy-gun's got a toy, he doesn't sit still enough to photograph. But here's his “urbane cat talk show host” look.

King the Rather Large Chocolate Lab, Doggie of my Childhood, was more of a leader than a follower, and his ethical code reflected that.
