Some surprising underdogs already making headway. Who would have expected Loudness to beat out Alice Cooper? And, c'mon, Nelson's "(Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection" beating out "Panama"?

Damn you, I've always said there isn't a single March bracket I care about and now I'm a liar!

How can "Pour Some Sugar on Me" be a 15-seed?

Yeah, somehow "The Final Countdown" is #3 and #5, which could lead to an interesting Final Four bracket.

Loudness are shaping up as the giant-killers, also defeating Scorpions in round two. I was surprised but in retrospect, the Loudness song just ROCKS! more than the Cooper or Scorpions efforts despite (or maybe because of) the lead singer not being about to sing. Actually hitting notes is obviously a losing strategy in this competition.

I think a #13 seed for Loudness was surprisingly high to start with, so beating out #4 AND #5 is punching WAY over their weight. I'm really not sure they can advance much farther.

I may have strong feels about this particular bracket.

Europe's "The Final Countdown" appears twice?

The first one is the original, the second one is Gob Bluth's ringtone. Or maybe the Floppotron version...

Go Lita! Also glad to see that Pour Some Sugar On Me has righteously stormed the first two rounds, but Poison losing out - in the first bout! - is a blow to my 15 old year cider-drinking-in-back-seat-of-friend's-older-sister's-car-with-cassette-radio-turned-up-to-11 self.

I loved the hell out of March Fadness last year.

Can anybody this year top the writer who listened to nothing but "Return Of The Mack" for 24 hours? Because she was amazing.

Stuff I was not expecting to do this morning: Read several thousand words on Cum On Feel The Noize.

So many of the already-played rounds make no sense to me. "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" better than "Talk Dirty To Me?" Literally anything on the planet better than "Panama?"

I am flipping this tournament double birds right now.
