Two Sets of Lost Kids

One set of Navajo boxers, one set of Syrian refugee slackliners. The Navajo youngsters live near Chinle, a long way from anywhere or anything. The last of a line of boxers teaches them, any age, any gender, for free without support. It's hard to make a career happen in these circumstances.

The Syrian refugee children have nothing, including play, so some slackliners show up, set up, and give them fun, and maybe hope.

Damn this article looks dope. Saving it for later, after my kids have dropped off to sleep!

The part above the fold had me thinking this was about historical interpretation of cultures through underwear, with 'slackliners' obviously being a slang term for the same that I wasn't hip to. I admit to being an odd mind. Sorry for the derail, carry on.

I'm not seeing anything about Crossing Lines in the linked article, but it sounds exactly like Sonya Iverson's Crossing Lines project (www.crossinglines.org) that was recently featured in Popular Mechanics (https://www.popularmechanics.com/adventure/outdoors/a18930183/slacklining/).
