THE BIG TRANS AND INTERSEX FICTION AND POETRY TIMELINE! from Bogi Takács

The inclusion criteria:
The timeline includes work by trans(etc.) and intersex authors. It does not include trans- or intersex- themed work by authors who are not trans or intersex. (Those are in general much easier to find and much more heralded.) The list also only includes people who are out, for obvious reasons! Please don’t out your friends for the sake of the list.

I am trying to police transness as little as possible. If someone identifies as some kind of non-cis or is a historical writer where this is a strong possibility, I have added them. Same for intersex-ness.

It only includes published work. It is not possible to know how many books languished in drawers forever. It is also not possible to know how many trans writers were afraid to come out at any point during their writing career.

I am only adding contemporary people with ethnically specific gender/sex identities if they ALSO identify as trans or intersex. This mostly, but not exclusively affects Two-spirit Indigenous authors, who do not necessarily want to be included on trans lists.

Some more info regarding trans comics creators:
Sophie Campbell has comics work that predates A+E Forever

Jeffery Catherine Jones was a trans woman who transitioned later in life, but was active in comics in the 70s. She was primarily an artist though, so I’m not sure if it fits the criteria.

(I also posted this info as comments on the site, but it is awaiting moderation.)

Awesome, thanks for the post palindromic, and one for the books thanks for doing the work to answer one of my first questions after perusing the OP link.
