The captions identified most of the sources of the clips (with a gap near the end), and I thought at first that it was all anime, but then some Aardman and Laika clips dropped in (covering 3D non-CGI) and I thought "but where are Disney/Pixar?", then they finally threw in 'Ratatouille' which is to me, the most obvious food-centric animation ever. The Hertzfeldt was just the icing on the cake. To quote Wallace, "Cracking!" Wisely omitted any Shrek or Minion meals.

While watching Only Yesterday I was blown away by the scene where someone chops a tomato, including the detail of removing the tough bit where the stem attaches. It seemed so unnecessary yet so delightful.
