A new neural net post from Janelle Shane! This time, tomato names.

Later she combined the tomato names with metal bands and things really got exciting. All hail... SOUL THE BEEFSTEAK (Sorry that last is a link to a twitter thread.)

I plant a few tomatoes every year but the only ones I have any luck with are the Dead Dead Dead variety.

This is the first neural net list where I've been underwhelmed by the result. I mean, last year for real I grew Piglet Willy's French Black and a Momotaro FIGHT.

And yet I often don’t laugh at these neural net things, and I laughed myself to tears over this one. Maybe actually because they were so close.

One of these days, I'm going to grow only tomatoes that are named after people. (Last year we had Paul Robeson and Cosmonaut Volkov, growing together as comrades. I'm always underwhelmed by the Volkovs, but the Paul Robesons were outstanding.)
