The ensemble list is one of my favorite lists right now.

It _may_ be a mix of what what was "played" in the room, but I doubt that. It's certainly not a recording the sound in the room.

It's great to see a tribute to the first LP record, but no one record actually has that distinction. There were 105 records in Columbia's initial LP release. The Mendelssohn on ML-4001 was just numerically first in the ML-4000 (12" classical) series, just as Beethoven's 8th Symphony by Bruno Walter and the NY Phil on ML-2001 was for the 10" classicals and The Voice of Frank Sinatra on CL-6001 was for the 10" popular series. (The assumption was that a pop album would be no more than 8 songs, so they'd all be ten-inch records.)

That said, cool video!

I originally read this as Philadelphia Turntable Orchestra (it's been a long day) and was confused how "Japanese" it still sounded to my ears.

(It reminded me of Milky Chu's take on Bach [YT] and probably a number of picopop bands.)
