I guess not all celebrities get Letterman's heart surgeon... I had the good fortune to see Dana Carvey do stand-up in a little club in West L.A. when he was auditioning for Saturday Night Live. He came on AFTER all the Open Mike amateurs, had a great rapport with the audience (of course, there were only eight of us there who didn't work for the club or SNL), and one riff he did, comparing his brother's mannerisms to Jimmy Stewart's, had me ROTFLMAO, until I thought I'd have heart failure. =sigh= I guess you had to be there; I'm just glad I was. posted by wendell at 12:30 AM on May 20, 2000
