HELL YES

One egg per slice of pizza is kind of a ridiculous proportion, and also, this guy fails to appreciate the point of eating leftover pizza, but I'd still hit that.

Totally off topic: Why are all the pictures over his right shoulder (camera left) covered half way in black?

I did not think French toast could be anything other than sweet; savory French toast....*thinks hard, brow creased*...I'll allow it.

OMG hell yes

To the boy

To the toast

My first guess would be, to cover up any images that might be copyrighted? Though that seems like more trouble than most people would go to.

It's a good idea but French Toast 101 is you don't just dip your bread (or other medium). It really needs to soak. 20 minutes at least.

Maybe he's an Oliver Jeffers fan?

I was all set to like this but then realized that I'd rather have cold pizza.

Tip for French toast: pre-soaking with a healthy drizzle of milk helps it absorb the egg better.

I make cheese toasties/grilled cheese with a thin layer of (real actual) mayo on the outside. It does much the same by providing a crispy french toast style crust.

You seem to have a bit of a mayo obsession, amigo. I'm not sure your recommendation is totally objective.

So, basically kind of like an open face Monte Cristo sandwich?

I wonder which pizzas would be particularly good for this? Thinking something with sausage and peppers, to get kind of a crunchy omelette feel.

Clever.

I think I’ll French toast some morning after mashed potatoes.

Yeah, mayo on the outside of a grilled cheese is a decent upgrade.

Butter and grated Parmesan cheese is the real winner, though.

Eggs and oil. That's what actual mayo is. My grandma (rest in peace) used to make me grilled cheese that way. It was REALLY good. But, you know, if you aren't interested, more for me!

From the reddit thread, apparently this is a thing: http://www.oliverjeffers.com/paintings/dipped-paintings

I clicked on that prepared to be disgusted and angry but it looks pretty good. I wonder what the people of Scotland would make of it.

place pizza in pan over medium heat and wait for oil to separate from the cheese a bit,

crank up the heat and flip the pizza over for 30 seconds.

Pan fried crust, pan fried cheese.

also, can't a guy do weird stuff with leftover pizza without being objectified?

Cold pizza is one of the world's great joys. I mean, I get this, it's an omelet with bread, but, generally-speaking, no thanks.

A couple day old cold onion, garlic and many veggie pizza with a tasty tomato sauce heavily dusted with cinnamon sugar and slathered with an authentic dark maple syrup and a small square of butter, dreamyNOPE NOPE NOPE!

It's not quite the same, but you can get pizza fresh with egg on top here. It's usually called "The Aussie" or somesuch on the menu.
Also, are people not used to french toast with bacon and tomato? I didn't think it was that weird to do savoury french toast.

You take one part perfectly laudable food procedure and you add two parts unctuous back-bench Cooking Channel-style personality. Result: a video that (like many videos) is about two-thirds longer than it really needs to be.

I'd like to try this, but I seldom have left-over pizza. I usually can't help not finishing it off, even if I'm full.

I like it, but I'd call this "Pizza French Toast". I'd expect the procedure for "French Toast Pizza" would start with normal French Toast, then put tomato sauce and cheese on top of that.

I am not one of those people for whom this is the subject of a jihad. So, okay then. Some for you too.

I tried this today with a few day-old slices of mushroom and green pepper pan pizza. I used milk instead of cream. I also added butter to my skillet.

It's pretty good. It came out soft, not crispy, and the crust was possibly the best reheated pizza crust I've tasted. It was consistently heated through. Didn't really get a lot of egg or smoked paprika flavour though.

OK, I wasn't expecting much given the true atrociocity of this pizza, but guys, it was really good! Like, my 6 year old pain in the ass picky-eater was like "OMG this is amazing." 10/10 would french again
