Another fursuit photo, because it's Fursuit Friday on furry twitter

For your viewing pleasure, the group fursuiter photo from the recently held Megaplex XVII in Orlando, FL. Total Attendance was 2,602, I am not sure how many fursuiters are in this photo. (On desktop browsers, at least, you can get different sizes of the photo available by putting the mouse into the "bring up low menu bar" zoneand clicking on the far right icon.)

I had my bunnywarez bear kigu given the Creepy Award at my annual halloween party once because it reminded them of PedoBear. I still wear it, but I'm less proud of it than I once was. [photo not of me]

I am fond of the slightly-creepy bird cosplay/fursuiting. There was an amazing bird one (not the awesome kenku cosplay) that I loved but haven't been able to find the pictures of in a while.

I was at BLFC a few years ago and someone had designed and uploaded very simple crow masks to be built out of black posterboard and a lot of people downloaded those and the accompanying simple-to-make wing/capes and so this murder of crows was swooping across the con every evening and it was purely magical.

So before I was more genderqueer I would dress up as wonder woman for halloween which is a little EH... for me now. Just not comfortable with that level of feminine anymore yanno? SO about 5 years ago I got a kigurumi. And then a second. I swore to myself they were just for halloween (a holiday I take very seriously), but I totes wear them as PJs when its cold too because why not?

ANYWAYS. that is all to say...

How do people even do this, at all, without, you know, dying of heatstroke? Do they just wear these things for the ten minutes it takes to make the group photo happen, then dive into an ice bath? Or do they have some special deal with the convention center about having the air conditioning set down to like 50 degrees?

Man even the kigurumi's are hot! Like I'm hoping Oct 31st is a cool day because I've worn my walrus/penguin to classes because that's how I roll on halloween, the most sacred day of the year- and I've been sweltering on the bus home. I can't imagine a fur suit!

This seems like as good a place as any to ask: I keep seeing "Maskimal" masks at Walmart that are basically cheap fursuit heads and I wonder what the furry community thinks of them, if they're a boon or a bane.
