Entranced emperor tamarins! turn off the sound, it is annoying
OH MAN these are the little tamarins who use to be at SF zoo! We don't have emperor Tamarins anymore, we have Pied Tamarins- not as fancy, still cute. The Pied Tamarins are much shyer, but I remember these little friends, they were always so interested in the people coming to see them, they were so friendly. The Siamangs we still have are like that, they like to hoot at people and watch them. Primates are great.

A: Saberteeth?
B: Monkeys are enough trouble.
A: OK, fair. Um.... I have these extra moustaches.
B: Great, and let’s paint their back ends orange!

There is something very catlike about tamarins.
If my cats had mustaches like those, though, I would never leave the house for all the brushing....

I was fortunate enough to be interning at the LA Zoo about... god, 20 years ago... and got to help clean the tamarins a few times. They are just as enchanting up close, and they make the sweetest little twitters, coos, trills and purrs.
One of them landed on my arm and vigorously humped it, and even THAT was adorable.
