Heh. I'm always amused by how geeked out historians can get over seeming minutia. One can almost hear the excitement in the description of how the nephews chose their swords. The relish of the one nephew slated to choose fourth picking the blade for the one who was to have picked first is something you really have to be deep into the history lovin' to feel.

An enjoyable read on a subject I had never given the slightest moment of thought to. Thanks.

I'm fascinated by swords, but at over $50 for the book, I have to say I'll be hitting the library for this one (ok, and putting it on my amazon wish list, but without expectation of it being gifted anytime soon.)
