The event, called Standup Paddleboard Witch Paddle, dodged days of rain, catching a short window of sunshine for the entire three-hour event.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reports the paddleboard event started two years ago with a handful of participants but now attracts hundreds.

I really want to do this, and I've never even paddleboarded.
(I would fall off, but I know I'd be fine - the water would reject me).

I wish I were there! Been a witch for years, but never on a paddleboard.

It was a beautiful morning watching the witches set off as we finished up our vampire swim. One of the swimmers flew off on her paddleboard after she was warmed back up! The water was about 53 degrees, what I would call invigorating.
If paddleboarding isn't your thing, but you like to swim try a Vampire Swim next year.
