Chicken Noodle Doom

Japanese noodle company Nissin's mascot Hiyoko-chan has done something incredibly dangerous! Oh wait, that when they opened the Ark of the Covenant. I'm talking about when they made an unholy bargain and became some kind of Demonperson. More recently, Nissin's search for a solution continues, but will it just drag on?

These are by far the fourth through second most horrifying forms Hiyoko-chan has ever taken.

This is what Hiyoko-chan looked like between demonic possession flare-ups.

It looks like Nissin went all the way to the top for a solution.

Second link after the fold was to a tweet instead of the actual video, but that Twitter account is a gateway to the wonderful world of Japanese mascots.

These days you're better off watching Nissinball Z Kai, which cuts out a lot of the unnecessary filler.

Wow, I just want to thank Bigger J for pointing out the Mondo Mascots account. It is a treasure. I think Summiko might be my favorite.

I also just love the idea that everything has a mascot and they walk around in parades and dress up for Halloween and are normal part of life.

Wait, doesn't everyone consecrate their noodles to Satan as a matter of course?

Yes, thanks Bigger J. I am a little horrified by Koumorin, the bat who teaches about fire safety.

seanmpuckett: Fun fact: DC and Marvel forbade the writers and artists of the Hostess comic ads from depicting their superheroes actually eating the products.

On that note, here's some comic book ads I find fascinating: the four Magic Snake puzzle ads. The DC ones are creative, using the puzzle to solve mysteries - Superman even used his ridiculous power to brute-force the thing! Meanwhile, the poor old Marvel heroes are stuck in Hostess mode, depending on the advertized product to enthrall their opponents into submission with how great it is.
