They do sound good, don't they? I'm wonder if that "Patsh" satsuma syrup should be "Patch"--maybe an uncaught typo.

Yes, it should be "Patch." I should have checked the write-up more closely. Ah well.

Well Iberico Pancetta certainly sounds delicious.

I want to submit Crouch Distilling as another excellent distiller in Columbia, South Carolina - better than High Wire for my dollar, but much smaller in size (being just a husband and wife running the whole operation). They recently put out a not-rum sorghum-based white "whiskey" (really closer to rum than whiskey) that I love and a watermelon eau de vie brandy that is the best Southern summer spirit ever.

firepit from Deus Modern

that looks very cool, but how is it at, you know, containing burning wood?

That bourbon sounds unbelievably good. With aging, and their slow production ramp-up, and the fact that it's already $100 a bottle means I'm unlikely to get one anytime soon. Guess I'll have to pester the hell out of some local bars about it, maybe then i can buy a glass.

I want a pair of those cowboy boots and some of that satsuma syrup, especially. No way I can afford the pancetta, though it's definitely drool-worthy.
