METTA WORLD TEETH
On December 12th, 2011: The NBA player known as Metta World Peace gave an interview to the Los Angeles Times about his recent name change. Metta completely disregarded the reporter’s question and instead decided to talk about his teeth. The following is a dramatic re-imagining of that interview using Metta’s actual audio.
Directed by LAMAR+NIK, starring Matthew Griffin and Michaelene Stephension.

That's an entertaining way to avoid answering silly interview questions unrelated to one's work for which one is famous.

Metta World Peace was a very entertaining part of Key & Peele. It wasn't until I had seen several episodes with him that I found out he wasn't playing a character! Well, beyond the extent to which he may be playing a character in real life.

That could have been his tactic, but since it got a moderately popular short film made about the incident I'm not sure it worked.

I don’t care for basketball but I’m a big fan of Metta’s work there.
I hope he continues in this vein, I bet he could write a nice book (thinking sort of like Jack Handy) or put on a one-man show.
I’m not sure it worked
I’m pretty sure nowhere in this video does he say anything about his name change, and I don’t see anyone here talking about it either, so I say the gambit worked.

(Goes looking for other Metta content)
Oh he showed up to do the weather report for CTV Vancouver: “I can’t really see what’s going on, but I’m assuming there’s people there”.
