Dialogue from the film, quoted in the Vice link:

“Someone’s crushing big time on Prince Mothballs”

That someone is probably me. I’m gonna have to trick some friends into a viewing party.

I have already seen this movie twice and it is glorious.

So, my 9 year old son was watching this movie, and he said, unprovoked, "Dad, this movie is really bad." Very perceptive. We watched it all the way to the end.

Lady Margaret, tortured by the idea of spending the rest of her life with Prince Ed, the cardboardish man to whom she is betrothed, pulls a Lindsay Lohan and begs Stacy to switch places with her for two days so that she may experience a brief stint of normalcy.

uh, pulls a Hayley Mills, if you please

5. Is there a Netflix Christmas Movie Extended Universe now?!

I too would like to know this.

Given that A Christmas Prince exists as a Netflix movie in this movie's universe, then... I'm going to need to sit down and work this out.

People know that ‘Belgravia’ is the name of the poshest district of central London, right? (After Belgrave Square, I think.)

What Netflix now needs is an AI that can throw together movies and tv series using Garry's Mod.

looking forward to the Bright (heh. remember Bright?) crossover - "She's a baker! He's an orc! Together they will solve the biggest crime of all - FORBIDDEN PASSION."

They’re talking about Parent Trap, but of course the ‘swap places’ plot is practically archetypal. The earliest I can think of is The Man in the Iron Mask, but I wouldn’t be shocked to hear that there’s a set of clay tablets relating how Gilgamesh and Enkidu swapped places - with hilarious consequences!

23. Does every princess movie use the same twinkly gazebo?

That gazebo is coterminous with all points in time and space. This is Occult Truths 101, listmaker!

"She's a baker! He's an orc! Together they will solve the biggest crime of all - FORBIDDEN PASSION."

I think you mean FORBIDDEN PASSIONFRUIT PURÉE WITH GROUND PISTACHIOS AS A NICE FILLING. THE JUDGES THOUGHT IT INNOVATIVE, ALTHOUGH STILL FORBIDDEN.

Waiting for the Netflix CMEU/Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie Extended Universe crossover.

The A Christmas Prince sequel (about the royal wedding) drops tomorrow, I believe! And from the promos, they have leaned into the stuff the internet found the most enjoyably ridiculous from the first one.

This is 2018; it's all Pottersville. Just Pottersville, from here to the horizon in every direction.

I would sacrifice everything in this world and the next to get a Repercussions of Evil series.

I enjoyed this movie SO much, even though that pink suit was offensively badly fitting and the fake jewels were designed to look extra fake and clearly they were trolling bakers with half of it. I need way more of this trash.

I'm so disappointed in the linked article. Going by the title and the use of algorithm, I assumed this was the first AI-written and produced movie. That's such an unfair tease.

I will have to keep my 7 year old daughter far, far away from this or else I fear she will watch it continuously, forgetting to eat or sleep, until her brains run out of her ears.

The earliest swap story I know is Vice Versa: A Lesson to Fathers (1882) about a boarding school boy and a business dad who switch places because of a magic stone from India (because Victorians).
