Great fic. Great film too. If you're interested, Sony put the script for the film up - makes for interesting reading, I think.

Spiders man

I know you're following the "surgeons general" and "burritos supreme" rule, but this seems wrong for several reasons.

Unless you specifically meant the one from Earth-11580, that is literally a colony of spiders pretending (poorly) to be a human named Peter Parker.

No, that was not a joke. Not my joke, anyway.

Speaking of the Spider-Verse here's a gallery and brief explanation of all the morphing of the Columbia logo in the opening. (And the 'cowgirl' variation was directly based on what the studio did for "Cat Ballou")

Spiders Man is an outlier adn should not have been counted.

I totally want to read more about the adventure of Spiders Man. They're just trying to achieve the life of Peter Parker- photojournalism work, court MJ, matriculate through NYU's biology/ genetics program, rescue people- while passing for human rather than a colony of spiders inside of a human costume. Most of the comic's weight comes from the deep political arachnid intrigues that guide Spiders Man's decision making, as well as the 'fish out of water' comedy about Arachnid/Human cultural misunderstandings.

A colony of spiders is not the hero we need, but the hero we deserve.

Yeah seconding Spiders Man - I'd actually be interested in reading/watching that. The original, not so much, kinda grew outta that at an early age. but SPIDERS MAN! now that sounds (heh) original for a change.

Now I want a Spiders-Boy character made up of a colony of Lucases.

Please tell me Spiders Man sort of swarms over the bad guys and leaves them all wrapped up in webbing, yay! right? only this time if you cut the webbing off them you find only the SHRIVELED HUSK of the person! with eggs laid in it maybe!

you could go the whole season with him "leaving them safely wrapped up for the cops to deal with" and you think "what a nice colony of spiders, not killing anyone" and then fiiiinallly someone gets around to trying to cut one of them loose and aaaaaaaa

crap I just spoilered it for all of you. I'm so sorry.

Major advantage of Spiders-Man in the MCU: he'd still be there, only half size.

I love that discussion of TFA very quickly and firmly veered into discussion of Spiders-Man, who I now fervently hope has a major role in Into the Spider-Verse 2.

One of the reasons I loved this movie is because I feel like 3D feature animation of the decade has been a project of camping out on the easy side of the uncanny valley, with the arguable exception of Incredibles, and Ralph having a Cyriak moment. (It's the internet, so of course Ralph will have a Cyriak moment.) It all kind of blurs together into mush of similar faces and character models. Even though the writing of Loving Vincent was a plod through a weak conspiracy theory, I have to give it credit for taking the art direction in a different direction.

Quite honestly, if Spider-Verse had followed the path of How to Train Your Frozen Hotel Transylvania Pets, I think I probably would have checked out for half the film or just waited for the Netflix release.

The form of this fanfic reminds me of the color text in this year's Spiderman game on PS4. There's a full Twitter-like feed you open regularly to see random comments like "Spiderman made me spill my coffee" or "I can't believe he saved that girl's life he's amazing!". They update as the game progresses. Also other side events have you posting photos into that feed, and there's even a social media nemesis side mission.

One of the lines is "does Spiderman ever taste his own web goo?" and I nearly dropped the controller laughing so loud.
