Used to have this wonderful little mutt, something like a poodle/terrier/chihuahua/mop named Daisy. This would only happen when she thought she was home alone, but she used to howl like a beast in solidarity with the ringing of our phone. Miss that lady.

My poor dogs with the 51 Wolves went from full asleep to "WTF, holy crap, panic, howl!"... stupid forgetting to plug in the head phones.

Now I want to hack into smart homes of dog owners so wolf howls play on the home speaker systems at random times, always between 10pm and 4am, on random days.

And now my dipshit Portuguese Water Dog won’t go back to sleep.

That’s the first time the YouTube ad beat the content...I’m not likely to use whatever car buying service they were advertising, but it was at least a little funny. No offense to the wolves.

You... went to watch wolves... expecting them to be funny....

Have you had your diagnostics run lately?

This is basically how my cul-de-sac sounds like every day when all the dog-owners are off to their jobs and their dogs aren't taking the empty houses very well at all.

Wonderful! Thanks so much for this!

As I was playing these vids, the dog next door, and the dog in back of me started howling! Neat!

We don't have any wolves in my area, but we have foxes, and I have two fox friends (the animal, not the faux news shits), Mr. Fox and Brother Fox. It's so neat to see these beautiful animals in the middle of a city. In fact, right now both of them are staring at me through the window. But wolves would be very cool to have hanging around. Until pets start disappearing.

My dingo mutt Clyde does an awesome dingo howl accompaniment to Prince’s Nothing Compares To You. He got super excited by these videos too.

My mother's lemon beagle Daisy would owoowoowoo and clickety-toenail dance every time she got a new toy.

Some really gorgeous difference tone beating between the two soloists in the second vid.

Absolutely no response from my boring little dog. He did come running - when he heard me rummaging around in the fridge.

These video come from the Wolf Conservation Center in (oddly enough) Westchester New York. They love wolves and wolves love them (that was a long time ago, but it's still true). They do amazing work in education, advocacy, and repopulation. If you love wolves, I strongly recommend that you support them and, if you're anywhere near New York, set up a visit. It's worth the trip.

My cat did not.

We had a rescued bulldog and one day we heard a howl coming from what we thought was outside the window. Huh. Weird, must be a howling dog wandering in the neighborhood. A few days later we heard it again. This time it was unmistakeable; it was inside the house and coming from the direction where the bully was hanging out. I texted the rescue director. “Out of curiosity... does Lulu howl?” A little bit later the reply came: “Oh yes, yes she does.” (Little girl also knew how to open crates from the inside as well... miss that little twerp.)
