Someone needs to put little rubber hand at the end of those horns.

I love that head-toss and exit at the end, like "Humph - you're no fun anymore."

I think it was the barbed wire fence that ended it? They'll just have to get him a better ball. He's a good bull.

My younger cat looks at me with that expression when she lost or destroyed one of her toys. “Hey, fix it! You are so proud of your thumbs!”

I have an ongoing fight with Mrs.es_de_bah over whether or not cows are fun, entirely because of this song. I don't know which one of us gets to count this video as a point. Seems like he Britta'd the situation.

I ... I mean ... I ... this might be the closest I have ever come to becoming a vegetarian.

What a let-down for him.

Awwww I hope they got him another ball. This left me weirdly sad.

Mrs Z has already ordered a replacement ball and is having it sent to Tex. I can't convince her that there are probably 5-10,000 already headed that way.

We're going to get to see Tex play in a ball pit?! Money well spent.

Though I’d stopped eating pork a while ago, and significantly reduced meat consumption overall, it was a video of a cow playing fetch that finally flipped my switch on beef, too. When I saw that cow playing, I guess it was just enough to make me really want to stop eating them.

Still eat dairy products, though, and fish and chicken about once a week, too. So I’m not ready for ascension, just yet. But yeah, no more piggies or moo doggos for me.

Great share.

...Metafilter is probably responsible for most of the views of that video, considering the 3 others on that channel are under 20 views.

The video is circulating by other means. My wife found it on iOS Apple News, which linked to this Daily Mail article.

The "oh no" at 0:14 sounds a lot like an "oh no" that is informed by prior experience.

If I had a million dollars I would have a herd of longhorn cattle. Beautiful animals and fascinating from an 'adapted to their environment' angle.

Also, at the zoo school I went to, there was a water buffalo who was masterfully skilled with his horns-- he could hook a leash out of a teacher's hand and flick it across the paddock easy as pie. He had an old rubber car tire and would hook a horn through it and hula-hoop it around sometimes when he was bored.

He gets so sad! And he's so obviously indicating why he's sad with his magnificent horns. Poor Tex. I hope he has many more ball-filled days in his future.

Are we sure it was the barbed wire fence? Because it could have been the deflate gate.

The otter lady, if you ever make it to the stockyards in Fort Worth, they have a longhorn "cattle drive" (more like a parade) every day and there's often a dude with a tame longhorn that you can take pictures with.
