These are so beautiful and interesting, thanks for the post! It's making me sad that there's so much of the world I'll never see, but also so happy that people want to show the amazing stuff around them.

Wow these are really beautiful. There's something art deco-y about them that pushes the right buttons for me. I'm a huge fan of folk art, in general. This one was my favorite.

Tremendous.
(Maybe I missed it) but I would like (please) a broader view of the buildings themselves - to see how the mosaics sit on the building and the building on the street ... here in Berlin there are a couple huge mosaics that up close are beautiful but also from further away impressive in yet another way.

The Calvert Journal has some Almaty photo features, including ones about mosaics that might scratch that itch as well!
