I absolutely lost it at the Philip Roth panel; just tears, streaming down my face, doubled up in laughter. These comics are absolute gems.

Julia Wertz is a woman with many opinions, but they aren't all good.

Imagining moving topiary scene is the kinda thing that makes sense if you read the book when you're young.
When you're a bit older then you start to understand Kubrick's vision and why he decides to approach the story a bit differently than the original.

This reminds me of a recent conversation I had with my mom. I asked if ticks were a problem where she lives (because they aren't where I live) and if I needed to take any precautions. She proceeded to tell me stories about everyone she could think of who had gotten Lyme disease and specifically how horrible it was for each of them. She did not, however, know the answer to my question.
