Oh, this is great. I've wanted music selections from other parts of the world like this. Now I just gotta find some for South America.

I was eager to check this out, but I'm getting nothing but 404 errors when I try to navigate their web player by genre...

And the curated playlists only play ~30 second samples? =(

I just installed the Android app. It wants access to "photos, media, and files" on my device, and permission "to make and manage phone calls".

I denied both, and the app quit – it apparently requires these permissions.

I also can't find pricing info anywhere.

Sorry, but as much as I'd like to check this out, they're not making it very welcoming.

Oh hell yeah. I've been trying to broaden my recent listening beyond clicking unthinkingly on the first jazz Spotify playlist that crosses my gaze; this will be a great way to reintroduce some intentionality to my musical consumption. Thanks mosessis! Hopefully I can get the web player to work as those Android permissions give me pause as well.

And HOLY CRAP do the initial couple of previews I listened to remind me of the random cassettes my parents had lying around when I was growing up! I might have to break out the old cow-tail switch for a solo dance party tonight...

gusottertrout, have you tried Radio Garden? It allows you to browse live radio stations across the globe--I've done plenty of South American listening through the site in the past!

escape from the potato planet

not welcoming at all.

I' m getting bad vibs from this site, going to give it a pass. That's a shame, because I'd really enjoy this.

Excellent rec! Thanks. I'm bummed the linked site doesn't work better but this makes up for it.
