Reading Dickens in Saudi Arabia

Obayd Fox is a Welsh kid who lives in Saudi Arabia and practices Islam. He vlogs his adventures with a straightforward enthusiasm: a road trip to Riyadh, performing the Hajj, fasting for Ramadan. Because some of his Saudi viewers believe music to be forbidden he avoids it in his videos, adding to the pleasantly frenetic feel of his editing.

Correction: the second video I linked is not the Hajj ceremony, but 'Umrah.

I definitely enjoyed these, the 'Umrah video especially. I think that was some of the clearest video of Mecca and associated sites that I have seen.

I definitely have some questions about how he has ended up in SA, from the Ramadan video I'm guessing his dad is Muslim also? If i go digging back into his videos will I find an explanation?

In one video he quotes an Instagram post about him that says his father and uncle converted. But I haven't seen him discuss his backstory in the videos I've watched.
