Simone Giertz, Queen of Shitty Robots, celebrates the completion of x-ray therapy for her brain tumor by turning her radiation mask into a Westworld-style LED lamp. (previously and previouslier)
Fuckin' a, Simone.

I know someone who wore one of those to a Halloween celebration, and some poor little eight(?) year old uncostumed boy who had been standing on one of those cast iron gratings that protect the roots of sidewalk trees, and perusing the costumes of witches, goblins, skeletons, zombies, monsters, vampires, and etc. as they passed by with a self-possessed smile of quiet satisfaction on his face, he took one look at her and ran down the street with terror on his face.
Had to admire his good judgement, really.

I have one of these from my mom. It's just kind of hung on the wall. This is a cool project.

Is she cured? I heard she had surgery to remove it but it returned. I'm really hoping she comes out of this all okay, her awesomeness is off the charts.

Cured is a tricky word with tumors, but my understanding is this was a subsequent round of radiation after the otherwise good surgery wasn't wholly successful in removing the tumorous material. Sounds like so far so good.
